Love Canal’s Lois Gibbs Speaks Out on Water Fluoridation

Love Canal, NY, was a community built on a toxic waste dump in the 1950s. Lois Gibbs lived there, and took a leadership role in the Love Canal Homeowners Association, which gave residents a voice during the environmental crisis. Eventually, the school built on the dump was closed, and 239 homes were purchased from homeowners most affected. The whole story of Love Canal can be read here, or in Lois Gibbs’ words here.
