Want to make sure I’ve got this straight. When they accidentally mix chlorine and hydrofluorosilicic acid at the GR Water Filtration Plant, they have to call in the Grand Rapids Fire Department hazmat team for emergency clean up. Yet when they put these same two chemicals into our drinking water, in smaller doses, of course, well, that’s OK, because the federal government says it’s OK. And apparently the city officials we keep electing that could put an end to it, never plan to protect us from it.
